Since its beginnings in 1966 there have been over 350 members during the life of The Proclaimers. Our members come from most denominations of the Christian Church and from a wide geographical area around Melbourne, Victoria. Membership involves a significant commitment, both to rehearsal to maintain a high performance standard, and to the purpose of the choir - proclaiming Jesus through music.

The Proclaimers is made up of singers, instrumentalists and technical crew. All members, regardless of their role in performances, are held by our common purpose - our love of music and our Lord.

The Proclaimers is continually revitalising itself with new members. Joining age of new members is between 15 & 30 years, though flexibility is given in this area.
